Brands Cherry Blossom brand turns 100 Our Bureau
New Delhi , Sept. 18 Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd on Monday said, on the sidelines of the centenary celebrations of its flagship brand Cherry Blossom, that its revenues for 2006-07 would cross the Rs 1,100-crore mark as it anticipates strong demand for its products. "The company is expecting a topline of Rs 1,100 crore in 2006-07. In the shoe-care category we are planning to launch several new shoe-care products in the non-formal shoes segment under the Rs 100-crore Cherry Blossom brand," said Mr Chander Mohan Sethi, Chairman and Managing Director, Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd. The company, which has a leading position in many of the categories that it is present in, is also looking at strengthening its presence in products such as aerosols and vaporisers, added Mr Sethi. The company currently has a majority share in the domestic market for insecticides, mosquito coils and rat poison, while its products are among the top three in aerosol and vaporiser market, he said. Reckitt Benckiser India manufactures and markets products such as Dettol, Mortein, Cherry Blossom, Lizol, Harpic and Vanish among others.
