Bangalore, Sept.18

Jupiter Capital, a venture of Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, will invest Rs 100 crore in the next two years in its FM radio channel, publishing and for launching a music label.

Radio Indigo's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Sanjay Prabhu, told newspersons that around Rs 28 crore had been invested for promoting the radio channel. This also includes the licence fee. Radio Indigo will also be launched in Goa sometime next year.

Radio Indigo on 91.9 frequency will play contemporary international music but will have a distinctly Bangalore slant. On November 1, Radio Indigo will introduce Kannada programme, which will be hosted by a cultural personality. Some of the leading radio jockeys will host the programmes for the radio channel. The radio channel will also have syndicated programmes as well as an interactive Web site where listeners can post their choice, which will be played on the channel.
