Latest furniture products and design from all over the world will be showcased at the International Furniture Fair at Cologne in Germany in January 2007. Koelnmesse International of Germany, along with its Indian representative office Cidex Trade Fairs Ltd, is organising the event.
The furniture fair will offer significant opportunities for Indian companies having interest in the furniture segment to tap global markets, according to a Cidex representative.
It will have several innovative features like a separate section for kitchens, an architecture congress and a separate section on `Ideal houses'.
The architects' congress at IMM Cologne is designed not only to address the interplay of architecture and interior design from a completely new perspective but also to draw attention to the contract business, a promising sales market with tremendous opportunities for growth.
"We have also ensured that the small and medium-sized business sector is strongly represented," said Mr Udo Traeger, Vice-President, Furniture, Interior Design & Textiles. With more than 100 exhibitors, including 15 from India, coming from 30 countries, this fair is expected to help Indian companies bag contracts, enable joint ventures and access newer technologies, he said.
