Caritor buys 3 cos in Europe, Asia, Australia

Bangalore , Sept. 19

Caritor, the global IT services firm with development centres in Bangalore and Chennai, on Tuesday announced the acquisition of three companies to increase its footprint in Europe, Asia and Australia.

"These acquisitions, Opentech Consulting Pte Ltd (Singapore), FigTree Systems (Aust) Pty Ltd (Australia) and Teamtime Consulting ltd (Switzerland), are part of Caritor's long-term growth strategy of creating a global workforce through which we can offer better value to customers with a combination of local high-end consulting services with the technical strength, quality and cost benefits of offshore", said Mr Jim Puthuff, COO of the Caritor Group.

Teamtime Consulting provides business-oriented solutions to large organisations throughout Switzerland and would become the international competence centre for business process productivity and egovernment solutions within the Caritor Group.

Opentech Consulting is provider of Oracle applications and network infrastructure services in Singapore. It offers a combination of business consulting, technical implementation and outsourcing services with a focus on the manufacturing, financial services and shipping industries.

The Sydney-based Figtree Systems specialises in the insurance, risk management and fleet management areas and had its operations in New Zealand, London, Singapore and Canada.

Caritor's first acquisition was a year ago when it took over Idgo group in Paris. Earlier, Caritor bought the IT services organisation of CooperTeam Software, also in Paris.
