Our Bureau

Kolkata , Sept. 19

Calcutta Stock Exchange is in talks with National Stock Exchange for operating on a trading platform that the premier bourse may offer.

The exchange, which held a members' meeting on Monday, expects to work out an agreement with NSE shortly, it is learnt. The latest development comes after CSE has had protracted discussions with BSE. No conclusive decision has been taken on this front till date.

The exchange, headed by an Administrator, is facing difficult conditions, with poor volumes and a near absence of investors' interest. Members have also raised issues related to CSE's accounts pertaining to certain past years.
