Capt John Prasad Menezes has been elected President of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for 2006-07 at the 65th annual general meeting here. Capt Menezes served as Vice-President of KCCI for 2004-06. A Fellow of the London-based Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, Capt Menezes is the Chief Executive Officer of Ericson & Richards (Karnataka) - a ship surveying and marine consultancy firm. Following are the other office-bearers of KCCI: Mr K. Narasimha Prabhu (Vice-President); Mr M. Ahmed Bava (Treasurer); Mr M. Shekhara Pujari and Mr Srinivas S. Kamath (Honorary Secretaries); and Mr K. Surendra Prabhu, Mr H. Ashok Shenoy, Mr Santhosh D'Souza, Mr M. Aziz Ahmed, Mr Vishwanath Kadri, Ms Latha R. Kini, Mr A.G. Pai, Mr G. Mohandas Prabhu, Mr B. Chandrakanth Rao, Mr Nigam B. Vasani, Mr Jeevan Saldanha and Mr T. Ganapathi Pai (Committee Members).
