SET FOR SAIL: Packed tea bags being stored at the inland container depot at Amingaon in Guwahati. This is the peak season for tea export in Assam and tea companies are sending their products to ten countries from here via Kolkata. Assam is the largest producer of tea in India. Exports have picked up this year with the Tea Board projecting the shipments between January and July at 98.18 million kg against 95.63 million kg during the same period a year ago.
