New terminal to be built at Vizag airport

Visakhapatnam , Sept. 21

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is taking up the construction of a new integrated terminal building at Visakhapatnam airport at a cost of Rs 95 crore. The foundation stone for the terminal will be laid on September 25, according to a press release issued by Mr N. Janardhana Reddy, Member of the Lok Sabha from Vizag and former Chief Minister.

Mr Reddy said he had received a letter from Mr Praful Patel, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, that the latter would be visiting Vizag on that day for the purpose. The new terminal would be centrally air-conditioned with all amenities. There would be parking space for 600 cars.
