Brands Cholayil plans to extend Cuticura brand nation-wide Our Bureau
Brand extensions Cholayil is developing Cuticura into a personal grooming brand for women. More variants of the deodorant are planned over the next few months. It is also setting up a soap-manufacturing unit in Haridwar.

Thiruvananthapuram , Sept. 22 The Chennai-based Cholayil Pvt Ltd plans to establish a national presence for its Cuticura talcum powder brand by February next year. The Cuticura talcum powder brand, which currently has a strong presence in the southern States, will be slightly modified before it is launched in other parts of India, said Mr M. C. Anand Kumar, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Dorcas Market Makers Ltd, the marketing arm of Cholayil. As part of this process, the company is developing variants of the talc and is also looking at changes in other elements such as packaging, he added. Mr Kumar, who was in the city to formally launch Cuticura DeO2, the company's deodorant product line, said that Cholayil is developing Cuticura into a personal grooming brand for women. Besides talcum powder and deodorants, the company is also exploring further extensions of the Cuticura brand. More variants of the deodorant, currently available in three fragrances and two pack sizes, are planned over the next few months, he added.
