Bosch Packaging unveils new machine

Bangalore, Sept. 25

Bosch Packaging Technology, a division of Robert Bosch GmbH and packaging technology specialists in India, has introduced SVE 2510, the speedy and continuous motion vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) bagger in India. The new technology would be offered at a competitive price with a reliable local service and support network.

The division is also plans to introduce new products in India with focus on productivity, reliability and attractively designed bags. "Bosch Packaging Technology is growing at the rate of 25 per cent per annum in the solid and dry powder food segment. We expect the division to be the No. 1 player in this industry by 2010." said Dr Albert Hieronimus, Managing Director, Motor Industries Company, flagship of the Bosch Group in India.

The SVE 2510 is a new generation machine is completely assembled locally. It is highly versatile with high speeds of packing up to 180 bags per minute, depending on the product and packaging material used. "Conventional fill and seal machines often set restrictive limits which have been completely eliminated by the SVE 2510. Its unique modular concept makes it possible to produce a large number of bag styles with a low machine height, ensuring less product breakage and longer retail shelf life" according to Mr Thomas Buehler, Business Head, Bosch Packaging Technology. The SVE 2510 has already been introduced into the market with orders from its customers to pack small biscuits and potato chips.
