To take up more space in Chennai

Thiruvananthapuram , Sept. 25

As part of a global workforce expansion programme, OfficeTiger is set to add more employees in its Thiruvananthapuram centre.

The company, which provides professional support services to clients across the world, currently employs 250 people in its Thiruvananthapuram centre. "In Thiruvananthapuram alone, we expect to at least double our headcount," said Ms Anupam Ahuja, Vice-President, Marketing, OfficeTiger.

Globally, the company employs a little over 10,000 people and expects this figure to increase by about 25 per cent over the next 18 months, she explained in an e-mail.

In Chennai, where the company has over 3,500 employees, it is looking to take up additional space, she added.

In India, the company has seven centres in four cities including Chennai, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

The company's Thiruvananthapuram centre provides services in areas such as business transcription; correspondence and mail processing; customer service and support; insurance claims processing; online transactions processing; data entry and data capture.

In March this year, R.R. Donnelley acquired OfficeTiger for $250 million.
