Hutch World Calling Card in Madurai

Madurai, Sept. 26

Hutch on Saturday launched the World Calling Card (WCC) that promises to reduce international phone call charges for frequent users. Available in denominations of Rs 110 and Rs 550, the WCC will enable both postpaid and prepaid customers of Hutch to make STD and ISD calls at lower rates without making any security deposit for the service.

According to Mr Kumar Ramanathan, CEO, Hutch (Tamilnadu Circle) the subscribers can make calls to the US, Canada and South East Asia at Rs 4.50 per minute and to Europe, Australia and New Zealand at Rs.8.00 per minute and the calls to Gulf and Africa at the rate of Rs 8.60 per minute. Calls to other countries will be charged at Rs 9.50 per minute. The special tariffs, 30 per cent cheaper than normal rates, are applicable only on the WCC of Rs 550 denomination. Customers will have the advantage of sharing the card with other members of the family, he added.
