GO on foodgrains stock restrictions

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Sept. 26

The Andhra Pradesh Government issued a GO on Tuesday, notifying restrictions on stocking of wheat and pulses by wholesalers and retailers for a period of six months. The notification mandates the dealers and retailers not to keep the stocks of the scheduled commodities beyond the prescribed limits. It, however, pointed out that the order would not affect the transport, distribution or disposal of wheat and pulses to places outside the State. It also would not affect import of these commodities into the State. The importers need to declare the receipts of such stocks.
