MR RAJESH MEHTA

Bangalore, Sept. 27

The city-based jewellery exporter Rajesh Exports Ltd will roll out its Rs 100-crore retail venture across the country by Diwali. Mr Rajesh Mehta, Chairman, Rajesh Exports, said the company will convert the 30 Oyzterbay standalone shops (Rajesh Exports acquired Oyzterbay recently) into its own jewellery stores under the name `Laabh Jewellers.' Laabh will start its rollout in the first week of October and will be present in most major cities. An exclusive range of 3,000 jewellery pieces will be launched at these stores. Production is in progress at its manufacturing plant in Bangalore.

Oyzterbay jewellery will, however, continue to be sold at malls and shopping centres. Rajesh Exports' other retail project to acquire 100 local jewellers in the South and bring them under the `Shubh Jewellers' label will take another four to five months, Mr Mehta said.
