Ford India among US award finalists

Ford India is among the finalists for the US State Department's Award for Corporate Excellence.

According to a press release from the Office of Public Affairs, American Consulate General, the US Ambassador to India, Mr David C. Mulford, who visited the Ford factory at Chengelpet, near Chennai, presented a plaque to Mr Arvind Mathew, Managing Director and President, Ford India, for being a finalist in the corporate excellence programme. The award is to recognise the role of US businesses worldwide in advancing corporate citizenship, innovation and exemplary business practices.

Ford India was one of the ten finalists in 2005. It was selected for assisting in local economic development, employment practices, adhering to transparency and international law, the release said.
