Supreme Alloys plan to retail TMT bars

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Sept. 27

The construction steel maker Supreme Alloys is trying to see an opportunity in the ongoing ceiling of commercial shops in Delhi residential areas and is launching a plan to open 200 booking centres in the National Capital Region from where its TMTSAL branded TMT bars would be supplied to the retail customer.

"The new model would not require any storage space as the booking outlet would be a display centre where the customer would get a feel of the product and place the order directly," the Supreme group Director, Mr J.K. Arora, told at a press conference here. He said the company has recorded a turnover of around Rs 100 crore while the group turnover stood at around Rs 170 crore and plans to grow by 100 per cent during the current year. Stating that it is an internationally tested business model, he said the company would test the model in the NCR region.
