National Blood Day to be observed

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 27

Surgical major Terumo Penpol in association with National Service Scheme of the University of Kerala is planning to observe the National Blood Day on September 30 here. Ms Manjari, playback singer, will inaugurate the function.

Dr M.K. Ramachandran, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kerala, will preside over, while Mr C. Balagopal, Managing Director, Terumo Penpol, will deliver the keynote address. Mr Mamoru Shimizu, Chairman, Terumo Penpol, will give away awards to donor organisations promoting voluntary blood donation and to winners of various voluntary competitions.
