The British Government has awarded the `Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)' to Ms Supriya Banerji, Senior Director of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), for furthering Indo-British ties. Ms Banerji has headed the CII's UK Office for close to eight years. She has also served as Head of the CII Southern Region, and the International Division of CII. With this, four Queens' Honours (of the Order of the British Empire) have been received by CII officials till date for furthering ties between the two countries.
