Kochi , Sept 28

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday launched Express Maintenance - a one-hour periodic maintenance service for all Toyota vehicles - at the Nippon Toyota outlet here.

The Express Maintenance will reduce servicing time to one hour from the existing one-day period. The express service is priced the same as the regular service, Mr K. Kuroda, General Manager, Customer Service, TKM, said at a press meet.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

This initiative utilises the Toyota production system and Kaizen methodologies to increase customer satisfaction and retention.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr T. Ino, Director (Marketing), said that Nippon Toyota, Kochi, is the first dealership in Kerala and the second in the country to be certified for the Express Maintenance Service.

The service will be extended to four dealerships across the country by the yearend and six more centres next year.

SALES TARGET

He said the company anticipates sale of 50,000 vehicles comprising Innova, Corolla and Camry this year as against the 46,000 sold last year. Innova sales alone were growing 15-20 per cent in the country, he said.

On plans to launch small cars in India, Mr Ino said there is no definite plan at the moment. The focus is on increasing the market share in the passenger car segment to 10 per cent by 2010 from the existing 4 per cent, he added.
