SEBI order on system glitches

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Sept. 28

The SEBI has told all stock exchanges to report instances of hanging, slowdown, breakdown and other problems in the computerised trading system to its Standing Committee. If the stoppage is beyond five minutes, the exchanges will have to report the remedial measures taken and issue a press release for greater transparency and protection of investor interest.

The exchanges will also have to submit a status report on the computerised trading system to the SEBI.
