Chess tool for the visually challenged

Mumbai, Sept. 29

GTL Foundation, a public charitable trust, has announced the launch of a chess software "TALK 64" for the visually challenged. The software speaks out every single move played on the chessboard.

It has speech and multiple language support, which players can access through a keyboard. It has 10,000 games from international tournaments. The software will be launched on October 10 at the "XI individual World Chess Championship for the Blind 2006" in Goa.
