Visakhapatnam , Oct. 3

Union Bank of India opened two branches in Visakhapatnam - at Madhurawada and Gajuwaka - besides eight others in the other States on Tuesday. With the two branches, the number of branches here has gone up to 10.

The Madhurawada branch was inaugurated by Mr R. Venkateswara Rao, a contractor and long-time customer of the bank, while the Gajuwaka branch was opened by Dr M.V Subba Reddy, Development Commissioner of the Visakhapatnam SEZ.

Power bills can be paid at the two branches.

Mr S. Aftab, Assistant General Manager, said that both are air-conditioned branches with core banking solutions and ATMs. "It is our endeavour to provide quality service to customers in Visakhapatnam. Within a month or so, we will be setting up four more branches in the zone."
