Pune , Oct. 3

Wonder Funkey, a three-storied family entertainment mall, would be opened in Pune on October 7. The 55,000-sq.ft entertainment mall is situated on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway and has simulators, video amusements, sound and light amusements, banquet halls, conference rooms, fun n' eat street, a theme restaurant, bowling alley, merchandise areas and a disco. The Rs 15-crore mall is promoted by city-based Wonder Properties.

It houses a restaurant called `Berries' offering vegetarian cuisine from across the globe, Mr Manoj Agarwal, Director, Wonder Leisure and Entertainment Pvt Ltd, said here on Tuesday.

To make it a perfect family joint , it would not serve its guests any liquor, he said.

There is also a gaming zone called `Lose Control', which offers over 60 video games. The mall would offer theme-based parties on occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc and has facilities for corporate conferences, seminars and business parties.

Mr Agarwal said the mall would be inaugurated by the `Masti idols of Pune'.

A contest in association with Yahoo India, the first online plus onsite personality contest with that extra M (masti) factor is doing its rounds in the city and the winner would inaugurate the mall. He said the mall is expected to see 60,000 footfalls per month and would charge the customer Rs 100 as cover charges. .

The concept has been designed by Mr Rajiv Jalnapurkar who is also the consultant for the Ramoji film city in Hyderabad.
