Karnataka bandh may affect delivery system: CII

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Oct. 4

The CII, Karnataka, felt that the 12-hour bandh called by pro-Kannada supporters would affect the delivery system of its member companies and could lead to loss of image. In a statement the CII said: "India Inc feels that border dispute between the Sates should be resolved in a manner that does not affect the overall economy."

The bandh was expected to affect the growing manufacturing and services industries in Karnataka, the statement said, adding that calling for a bandh will send a wrong signal to potential investors in India and overseas.
