Strategy All in the name?
A colleague, Ashwini Phadnis, recently went through a baffling experience. First, he received a courier packet addressed to "Roshan Phadnis'' which contained a letter informing him that `Ashwini' had been taken over by `Roshan'; hence, he would be known as Roshan Phadnis. Taking it as a practical joke, he discarded the letter only to get another courier packet with a birth certificate-like-document announcing to the world that Ashwini Phadnis would now have a new name. This set the colleague wondering since the couriered packets did cost money to somebody. He then received a third packet which had an unsigned note saying, "I am sorry, your name got changed; wrong parcel landed on your table and you even received some marriage proposals.'' The bewildered colleague finally got his peace of mind back when he received the final packet announcing that the string of mails were a promo for a new television programme and the whole idea was to strengthen his recall of the programme.
