Mumbai, Oct. 5

Bonds ruled quiet as the market-awaited details of fresh auctions in the second half of the fiscal, said dealers. "Bonds opened high as the market tracked low yields on US T-bills," said a dealer at a private bank.

Total traded volumes on the order-matching system was lower at Rs 3,150 crore (Rs 3,710 crore). The 7.59 per cent-10 year-2016 benchmark paper opened at Rs 100.16 (7.59 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 100.01 (7.58 per cent YTM) against the earlier close of Rs 100.01 (7.58 per cent YTM).

The 8.07 per cent-10 year-2017 paper opened at Rs 103.15 (7.62 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 103 (7.64 per cent YTM) against the previous close of Rs 103.02 (7.64 per cent YTM).
