Our Bureau

New Delhi , Oct. 6

RailTel, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways, has earned Rs 60 crore revenue till September this fiscal and expects to report net profit this year.

"During 2006-07 (till September) we have earned revenue of Rs 60 crore. We would go black this year. So it is not correct to say that RailTel is a sick organisation," Mr K.K. Bajpayee, Managing Director, RailTel Corporation Ltd, told reporters here. He was responding to a question that RailTel is among the 89 under-performing PSUs that may be referred to the Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises for examination.

"We have to send our comments back to BRPSE," he said.
