Innovator identification camp

The Vellore Institute of Technology is planning to hold the `Innovator Identification Camp 2006' at Coimbatore on Saturday. This would be one of the two camps proposed (the other at Chennai), which is aimed at reaching out to potential innovators. About 300 prospects are expected to attend these events. Dr Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director, Elgi Equipments, is to inaugurate the camp here, while VIT Chancellor, Mr G. Viswanathan, will preside over the function. The programme is being jointly organised by the Department of Science and Technology, InfoDev (an agency founded and supported by World Bank) and VIT Technology Business Incubator.
