Karnataka Bank Ltd has opened its 400th branch at H.S.R. Layout in Bangalore. A bank release said here on Friday that the Karnataka Governor, Mr T.N. Chaturvedi, who inaugurated the branch on Thursday, lauded the service being rendered by the bank. The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ananthakrishna, presided over the function. Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Chief General Manager, gave a brief account of the bank's progress over the years since its inception in 1924. Mr K.H. Shivaswamy Aithal, Deputy General Manager, Bangalore Region, welcomed the gathering.
