Comments on investment panel proposals

The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, has sought the views of the Chief Ministers of all States on the recommendations of the Investment Commission. He has requested the Chief Ministers to send their views as early as possible, according to an official release. The Centre had, in December 2004, set up an Investment Commission to engage, discuss with and invite domestic and foreign businesses to invest in India.
