Federal Bank gets YMCA award

In recognition of the progressive measures taken by Federal Bank for the comprehensive development of Kerala, YMCA has conferred the Suvarna Kerala Puraskaram on the bank, on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations of the formation of the State.

The Lok Sabha Speaker, Mr Somnath Chatterjee, gave away the award at a function in Aluva. Receiving the award on behalf of the bank, Mr M. Venugopalan, the Chairman of the bank said that he was receiving the award in recognition of the bank's commitment to its home State. Mr Venugopalan also paid rich tributes to the founder Chairman of the bank, the late K.P. Hormis, who formulated the bank's policies with a clear vision and foresight, which enabled the bank to receive such a title.
