Below-par results of biggies can spoil the market party

Kay: Road ahead could turn out to be choppy.

Sri: But markets should take another crack at peaks!

Dax: With help from the earnings season?

Sri: Another strong quarter from India Inc?

Kay: Infosys should lead the pack!

Jog: The stock should not disappoint the street.

Sri: Sensex nearing its all-time high of 12,671.

Dax: 63 per cent gain in Sensex. From the low of 7,656.

Jog: In 4 months. No major correction since July 24.

Kay: Safer to stick to mid-cap and small-cap stocks.

Sri: Nifty found support at 3,563 levels.

Jog: We can see upward journey to 3,650 levels.

Dax: If it falls below support level, turn cautious.

Sri: Momentum slowing? So, the rally would not be...

Kay: Smooth? Only a rough ride expected.

Dax: Festival season to bring cheer to investors?

Jog: Below-par `big' results can spoil the party.

Kay: Last week numbers, koi?

Sri: Nagar Const went up almost 5% on Oct 3.

Jog: Til gained more than 2% and Hind Composi was

up 2% that day. India Cem and Allahabad Bank earned

a profit of about 1% while Rel Com, Hotel Leela and

Sun Pharma managed to end that day on a +ve note.

Dax: In the run up to earnings announcements...

Kay: Cement stocks to rule firm. Announ-cement!

Jog: Buy any stock that ends in `cement'!

Sri: Watching India Cem, Guj Amb, Shree, Madras...

Jog: Stellar quarter from them? Strong prices!

Sri: Tech picks Petron Engg, Ankur Drugs and...

Jog: Mangalam Cement, may I add?

Kay: Wild cards Rain Calc, Guj Sidh...

Dax: And Litaka. Guj Siddhi hit the upper ceiling!

Kay: Small cap, Ratnamani Metals has good fundas.

Sri: But liquidity was very low. Trades at Rs 400.

Jog: Ciba volumes, dekha? Rel Growth Fund, at 330.

Kay: Credit Suisse sells Gwalior Chem and Usher.

Jog: Short-term profits?

Sri: Tide Water Oil could see strength.

Dax: On news that ONGC would...

Kay: Help in its turnaround.

Sri: Textile stocks that had missed out...

Jog: On the rally? Shot up on Friday.

Kay: Zodiac Clothing, Celebrity Fashion and...

Jog: Kewal Kiran Clothing...

Sri: Hindustan Construction and IVRCL gained...

Dax: In strength, through the week.

Jog: Orchid Chemicals, for some reason...

Kay: Has not joined the party.

Dax: GSFC and Allahabad Bank gracefully trading.

Jog: IOC should continue its upside further...

Kay: In the coming days.
