Education States - Karnataka IIM-B meet to focus on borderless biz Our Bureau
Bangalore , Oct. 11 IIM-Bangalore's management meet `Vista 2006 - Business without boundaries' will be held from October 13-15. The meet includes a panel discussion titled `The Indian MNC - Are we there?' The discussion with Mr Douglas Baillie, CEO of Hindustan Lever Ltd, Mr Madhukar Sabnavis, Regional Director, Thought Leadership at Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, and Mr Brooks Entwistle, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs (India) L.L.C, will focus on the challenges and the future of the Indian MNC. Mr N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu, and Mr Rajdeep Sardesai from CNN-IBN will be part of the Media Conclave. Other events include the Tata Boardroom Wars, Microsoft Live Case Study, BZZwings - the business plan contest, workshops by Ogilvy & Mather and Cognizant, paper presentations, business strategy and marketing games, knowledge consulting case contest, and Bizarre - The Business Quiz by Derek O'Brien. The focus areas for Vista 2006 include advertising, finance, knowledge consulting, law, marketing, strategy and information technology. This year, Vista examines "the disappearance of boundaries in FMCG, retail, banking, consulting, IT, Internet marketing, logistics, law and media. Attempts to bridge the urban-rural divide by FMCG companies, the entry of global players into retail and investment banking in India, Indian IT firms becoming one-stop shops, the impact of law and media on everyday business decisions are some of the issues that will be dealt with at Vista 2006."
