SSI States - Andhra Pradesh APITCO to take SME delegation to Saudi Arabia Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Oct. 11 APITCO is organising a small & medium rnterprises (SME) delegation to Saudi Arabia from November 24-30. The main objective of the delegation is to explore the large potential of technology transfers and market expansions to the Kingdom from Indian SME Sector. KSA is going through an economic boom and the trade surpluses are very high. Unlike earlier years when major part of the surplus went back into investment in the US, Saudis are now considering investment within the Kingdom. The main areas of investment are oil, gas, petrochemicals and metals. Infrastructure development including railways, mining and tourism are the other thrust areas. The SME sector in KSA is still under developed and they are over dependent on other countries for all the goods and services. The Indian expertise of SME is suitable to the country and the Indian SMEs can immediately explore the opportunity of helping the KSA entrepreneurs in setting up of joint venture's or as technology supplier, according to Mr S. Srinivasa Rao, Managing Director, APITCO. With a view to facilitate intending Indian SMEs to explore business opportunities, APITCO is organising a SME delegation to KSA , he said in a press release. APITCO is working with a local Consultancy Organisation (AL- Hamdan Bureau for Management Consultations, Riyadh) Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Riyadh and Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jeddah, for organising meetings with interested collaborators from KSA. The delegation will be a compact one and comprising about 20 Indian SMEs and business firms.
