PGC Industries Pvt Ltd, the Tirupur-based integrated knitwear company, has won the best stall award at the 23rd India Knit Fair for the autumn/winter 2007 collection, which concluded at Tirupur on Friday. Tubeknit Fashions Pvt Ltd and Clifton Exporters were given the awards for the first and second runners-up for their displays at the fair, according to a communication from the India Knit Fair Association, the organisers of the fair. The three-day fair received entries from 56 leading export houses from Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore, besides Tirupur. Over 70 foreign buyers and representatives from about 105 buying houses and buying agencies visited the fair, which showcased cotton, cotton-modal blended knitted garments and garments made of speciality fabrics in the men, women and children's wear category.
