`Young World' quiz winners

Little Flower Junior College got past an enthusiastic Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, to earn the right to go to the National Finals of The Hindu Young World Quiz-2006 competition, to be held on November 14 in Madurai.

Represented by K. Arun and M. Abdaal Akthar, the Little Flower team was the best among the six finalists, who were shortlised from over 470 teams that participated representing 166 schools and junior colleges.

The Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Mr K.R. Suresh Reddy, distributed the prizes. The event was managed by the Chennai-based, `Quizwalahs' and Mr V.V. Ramanan was the quiz master.

The seventh annual Hindu-Young World Quiz presented by Eveready also had loads of thrills, gifts and prizes for the large audience, who turned up at the Sathya Sai Nigamagam.
