This with reference to "Mega prize for micro banker" (Business Line, October 15): One gets a sense of the untold sufferings that Prof Yunus must have undergone to translate economic theories into practice. He must be admired for taking the initiative of stepping out of a university campus and venturing into the hinterland to transform the lives of thousands of rural women.

Congratulations to the Nobel committee for honouring such a man.
