Surya Roshni, electrical bulbs and CFLs manufacturer, has been awarded "Energy Efficient Unit Award" at the National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2006 conducted by CII-Godrej GBC. The Ministry of Labour and Employment recently conferred the National Safety Award to the company's Kashipur (Uttaranchal) unit for its performance in industrial safety during 2005 in achieving `lowest average frequency rate'.
