Automobile Components Web Extras - Outlook Bharat Forge Q2 net up at Rs 74 cr Our Bureau
Pune , Oct. 17 Bharat Forge Ltd has posted a combined revenue of Rs 990.1 crore and profit after tax of Rs 74.2 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal. This represents a growth of 42 per cent and 21 per cent respectively over the corresponding previous period's figures. It has recorded a standalone revenue of Rs 469.9 crore, up by 21 per cent. Commenting on the results, Mr Baba N. Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director, said that the company has also begun implementation of the capacity expansion programme for non-automotive applications. "This business will be a major revenue and profitability driver in the years to come," he said.
Mr Kalyani said Bharat Forge is in the process of finalising four large long-term contracts with marquee global customers, each in excess of $50 million per year. The company expects to sign these contracts by the end of financial year 2007.
