The Hindu Business Line : Sify posts Rs 6.8 cr net

Sify Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 6.8 crore ($1.49 million) on sales revenue of Rs 138.30 crore ($30.10 million) for the quarter ended September 30.

During the corresponding period in the previous year, the company reported a net loss of Rs 6.1 crore ($1.34 million) on sales revenue of Rs 117.31 crore ($25.53 million).

A press release from the Nasdaq-listed company, which quoted Mr Raju Vegesna, Managing Director and CEO, Sify Ltd, said that the company is leveraging greater synergies across its businesses. The business analysis and structuring have contributed to improved margins and better-cost management.

The revenues from its various business segments are: enterprise services Rs 78.85 crore ($17.16 million) against Rs 63.82 crore ($13.89 million) in the corresponding quarter in the previous year; access media Rs 48.66 crore ($10.59 million) against Rs 45.67 crore ($9.94 million); portals Rs 6.98 crore ($1.52 million) against Rs 4.08 crore ($0.89 million) and others Rs 3.81 crore ($0.83 million) against Rs 3.7 crore ($0.81 million).
