Honour for transplant surgeon

Dr S. Sahariah has been elected National President of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT) for the next two years. With more than 3,000 renal transplant, he is among the top kidney transplant surgeons in the country. A Vice-Chairman of the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, Dr Sahariah performed the first living donor as well as cadaver renal transplantation in Andhra Pradesh, according to an ISOT release. The ISOT has more than 400 members and includes specialists from various disciplines of medicine and transplantation.
