This included the CLP-300, which the company claimed was the smallest colour laser printer in its class, weighing only 30 pounds. With the launch of the CLP-300, the company now has a range of five colour laser printers in its product portfolio priced between Rs 15,990 and Rs 39,990. "We are looking at LCD monitors and laser printers as the major growth drivers for our IT business this year," Mr Sanjay Sharma, Vice-President - IT Business, Samsung India, said.

Samsung India is targeting a 200 per cent growth in LCD monitors and a 100 per cent growth in laser printers in 2006. "We expect colour laser printers and network printers to drive the growth in the laser printer category and that is why our efforts to drive our own growth through our new breakthrough models, priced very affordably," Mr Sharma said.

The company on Wednesday also launched four network laser printers. With the introduction of the new range of network laser printers, Samsung now has seven network laser printers in its product portfolio, priced in the range Rs 12,990-58,990.
