Club to promote blood donation

Our Bureau

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 25

Surgicals major Terumo Penpol, in association with the national service scheme of the University of Kerala, is planning to form a "Club 25" to promote safe blood donation.

Club 25 is designed for young people to not only give blood to save life, but also to attend blood centres, learn about healthy lifestyles and share what they have learned with their community.

These young blood donors can also remain active in health promotion activities by promoting repeated regular voluntary blood donation. Blood donors aged 16-25 year, who have performed at least two donations during a year and first-timers who commit to give blood regularly can be members of the club.
