Peerless celebrates Platinum Jubilee

Peerless General Finance & Investment Company Ltd, a major residuary non-banking company (RNBC), celebrated its platinum jubilee at a function here recently. It was attended by, among others, the West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who launched the company's new scheme, "Hitaishi", the Lok Sabha Speaker, Mr Somnath Chatterjee, who formally released a book on corporate social responsibility, and Member of Parliament, Mr Mohammed Salim. Mr D Basu, Chairman of Peerless, and Mr Jayanta Roy, Director, also spoke on the occasion.
