Bhagyanagar's net rises 26 pc

Bhagyanagar India Ltd has registered a total income from operations of Rs 45.49 crore in the quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 40.65 crore in the same quarter last year, showing a growth of 12 per cent. The profit after tax was Rs 6.93 crore (Rs 5.49 crore), an increase of 26 per cent, a company release said.

For the first half of the current fiscal, the company registered a net income from operations of Rs 102.25 crore (Rs 68.33 crore). The PAT stood at Rs 14.52 crore (Rs 9.73 crore). During the quarter, the company raised $15 million through foreign currency convertible bonds issue that closed on October 11.

The FCCBs would be converted at the option of the bondholders at a price of Rs 44, the release added.
