Events States - Kerala Air Marshal calls for aerospace policy Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Oct. 29 The country would need to make more efforts in integrating and coordinating its aerospace capabilities, said Air Marshal P.S. Ahluwalia, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, Thiruvananthapuram. Inaugurating the 20th national convention of aerospace engineers hosted by the Institution of Engineers (IEI), the Air Marshal also emphasised the need for formulating an aerospace policy for the nation. Aerospace power will play a major role in the development of any nation, he said. .
AEROSPACE POWER
Aerospace power is a synergistic application of aerospace information. India must become a recognised aerospace power if it wanted to play a decisive role in the comity of nations and to become strong, wealthy and modern in the process. The country has to spell out its priorities in this context. After the inaugural function, the Chairman of the Aerospace Division Board, Mr N. Jayachandran, honoured Dr G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation, in absentia.
AIRCRAFT EXPO
The Kerala State Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India), in association with the Aero Club, is organising an exhibition of aircraft models and aerobatics by radio controlled aircrafts in connection with the ongoing national convention of aerospace engineers.
