Kolkata , Oct. 30 NSHM Knowledge Campus of Durgapur, India's largest All-India Council of Technical Education-accredited private hotel management institute, has forged a tie-up with the Lucerne-based International Hotel Management Institute (IMI), Switzerland, for courses in higher learning. According to a press release issued here, the tie-up would provide students of NSHM with an opportunity to sharpen the skills that are necessary for a successful career in the hospitality industry and also equip them with a unique competitive advantage when applying for jobs in the global hospitality and tourism industry. By virtue of the tie-up, students of NSHM will have access to international standards of education and training at a competitive cost.
the Agreement
According to the agreement between NSHM and IMI, students completing the 3-year Diploma in Hotel Management course from NSHM shall be eligible for admission to the final (4th) year of the BA (Hons) course in International Hotel & Tourism Management course at IMI. Students successfully completing the 4-year Bachelor in Hotel Management course from NSHM shall be eligible for admission to the final stage of the MBA course in International Hospitality Management at IMI. The above programmes also include the option to undertake a paid, practical in-training period in Switzerland on the condition that students undertake a course in language study in French or German as part of their studies at IMI.
