Gateway Distriparks Q2 net higher by 8 pc

Gateway Distriparks Ltd, a port-based logistics company, has reported 8.15 per cent rise in net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal to touch Rs 21.09 crore, against Rs 19.5 crore in the second quarter of last fiscal. During the quarter, its gross income increased to Rs 44.11 crore (Rs 37.4 crore), representing an increase of 17.91 per cent.

Mr Gopinath Pillai, chairman of the company, said GDL had generated cash surplus of Rs 45 crore in the six-month period, which, together with the balance GDR proceeds of Rs 262 crore, has increased the cash availability to over Rs 300 crore.
