Bangalore , Nov. 1 Apranje Jewellers has announced that it has become Bangalore's first diamond jewellery store to be fully certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), an independent laboratory for testing and grading gemstones and fine jewellery. IGI's `mobile laboratory' has certified Apranje Jewellers' collection of diamond jewellery based on factors such as cut, caratage, clarity and colour. The IGI certification offered on all the diamond jewellery conforms to international standards of excellence, integrity and accuracy. Ms Ambika Narayan, Joint Director of Apranje Jewellers, said: "Our objective has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality diamond jewellery. With IGI certification, our clients will now have further authentication of the quality of our diamond jewellery." Mr Tehmasp Printer, Managing Director of IGI India, said: "With retailers and customers across the country feeling the need for an independent certification of their diamonds, our mobile laboratory provides this service at their doorstep. Discerning buyers in Bangalore will now get the benefit of IGI's thorough certification process based on 14 parameters for all jewellery they buy from Apranje."
