Can Fin Homes Q2 net up 69%

Can Fin Homes recorded a 69-per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 14.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, compared to Rs 8.8 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

The Canara Bank subsidiary also had a higher operating income by 36 per cent against the previous year's Q2 figure of Rs 66.32 crore increasing by 29.74 crore to Rs 90.06 crore. According to a bank release, Canfin Homes' disbursement of housing loans up to Q2 of this fiscal amounted to Rs 291.2 crore. The cumulative sanctions touched Rs 4,746 crore as on September 30, 2006, compared to Rs 4,072 crore.
